Diana Mortinho is a PhD student in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon within the Microbial Genomics and Bioinformatics group of CE3C and INIAV (Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária). She is conducting the project "PathoPlasmid - Next-Generation Plasmid Surveillance to Strengthen Outbreak Preparedness in Foodborne Pathogens", under the supervision of Teresa Nogueira (INIAV, CE3C) and Francisco Dionísio (CE3C). Diana's PhD project aims to understand the role of plasmids in mediating the spread of antibiotic resistance and virulence genes between foodborne pathogens.
