Célia Domingues

I received a PhD in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon in 2026 under the supervision of Dr. Teresa Nogueira and Prof. Francisco Dionísio. As a bioinformatician, my research focuses on the analysis of bacterial genomes and metagenomes, with an emphasis on antimicrobial resistance and virulence. I am especially interested in plasmids, exploring their evolution, dynamics, and role in the dissemination of adaptive traits among bacteria.
