I have completed my M.Sc. in the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon, under the supervision of Inês Fragata and Vítor Sousa. As of July 2025, I am a PhD student in the Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (BIODIV) doctoral programme at CE3C, CIÊNCIAS. My main research interests concern reciprocal interactions between species (i.e. coevolution). During my PhD, I aim to disentangle how coevolutionary dynamics between plants and herbivores affect the tempo and mode of evolutionary change. I will do so by combining a variety of multi-omics approaches with experimental coevolution to shed light on which traits and genes are involved in coevolutionary processes. To address these issues, I am studying the spider mite Tetranychus urticae and fast-cycling Brassica rapa under the supervision of Erik van Bergen, Inês Fragata and Vítor Sousa.
