I received my Ph.D. in Biology and Ecology of Global Changes from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon in 2026, with a thesis entitled "Biodiversity Management and Conservation in the Shallow Subterranean Habitats of Portugal". My research focuses on Portuguese shallow subterranean environments, specifically scree slopes, exploring their biodiversity (invertebrates and small vertebrates), geology, microclimate dynamics, and habitat distribution. I have a particular interest in invertebrate taxonomy and GIS-based spatial modeling.
