Carolina Caetano

I am a scientist and science communicator with a background in biomedical research and a career spent communicating science across biomedical, environmental and biodiversity fields. I hold an MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Coimbra and currently work as Science Manager (Science Communication) at CE3C, contributing to institutional communication, media relations and research dissemination.

My career began in research on ageing and regenerative medicine, before moving into science communication at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology and, more recently, leading communication for the national PolinizAÇÃO project on pollinator conservation, where I also co-authored the Guia de Polinizadores de Portugal.

This path has given me a broad, cross-disciplinary understanding of scientific research and a strong ability to translate complex knowledge into clear, accurate and engaging content for different audiences.
