Luca is conducting a Ph.D. in Biology by the University of Lisbon starting in 2026 within the Behavioural Ecology and Conservation research group. He is conducting the project "How lifelong migratory strategies emerge under environmental change", under the supervision of Inês Catry, University of Lisbon, Marta Acacio, University of Porto, and Aldina Franco, University of East Anglia. Luca's project aims are: understanding how environmantal and social elements influence the onthology of migratory behaviour in white storks (Ciconia ciconia), with a specific focus on the availability of anthropic food sources.
