Pedro Cardoso is a researcher at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Change (CE3C) and a specialist in biodiversity and conservation, with a particular interest in spiders and other invertebrates.
His research seeks to understand species distribution, the factors threatening biodiversity and the risk of extinction. In addition to spiders, Pedro Cardoso also uses artificial intelligence and computational methods to study patterns of biodiversity and predict extinction risks.
