Catarina Esgalhado

Catarina is conducting a Ph.D. in Sustainability Science at the University of Lisbon starting in 2026 within the System Ecology of CE3C, under the supervision of Cristina Branquinho. Her research interests are on land system dynamics, social-ecological systems and understanding trade-offs between agricultural production and ecosystems services. A key aim of her PhD project is to identify landscape configurations that can meet several expectations simultaneously.
