I graduated in Biology at the University of Alicante, and with the aim of specialising in the field of biological control, I obtained my master’s degree at the same University. My project focused on insect-plant interactions and their application in integrated pest management of horticultural crops.
After eight years working for different companies related with mass rearing of insects I came to the University of Lisbon to work first within the project COMPCON – Competition under niche construction, and then within ACE - Adaptation to Complex Environments. Working on these projects led me to begin a PhD under the Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (BIODIV) programme at the Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (CE3C) at the University of Lisbon. My goal is to investigate the evolution of interactions in tri-trophic systems and how this affects ecosystem stability.
