Cristina Vieira
External CollaboratorI received a Ph.D. in Molecular Population Genetics from the University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 1996 and I am currently collaborating with the Ecological Evolutionary Developmental Biology group of CE3C. I am a professor of Population Genetics at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. My research focuses on Transposable elements and their influence on genome structure and expression. For many years I have been involved in genome evolution research using Drosophila as model system. My current research is driven by three overarching objectives: aging and Transposable elements, impact of transposable elements in the phenotypic plasticity, and impact of transposable elements in ecological transitions.
