
Miguel Santos
MSc StudentMiguel Santos holds a BSc in Biochemistry by the University of Évora and is currently a student of the Master Degree in Applied Microbiology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon. His MSc dissertation, under the supervision of Artur B. Lourenço and Mónica V. Cunha, is devoted to the topic "Divide and conquer: Dissecting the Caenorhabditis elegans natural gut microbiota". The aim of this study is to investigate how specific elements within the CeMbio collection influence the physiology of C. elegans, seeking to contribute for a better understanding on how the C. elegans gut microbiota is assembled, whilst offering valuable insights through associations between gut microbiota alterations and the repercussion on the host physiology.
