Beatriz Silva

Beatriz Silva holds a BSc. in Biology by the University of Lisbon (CIÊNCIAS) and is currently a student of the Master of Applied Microbiology in the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon. Her MSc dissertation, under the supervision of Mónica V. Cunha, is devoted to the topic "Spread of antimicrobial resistant E. coli and Salmonella: a comparative genomic study across interfaces", in which she uses genotypic, genomic and phenotypic tools to characterise antimicrobial resistance in livestock, wildlife and the environment, also depicting virulomes and resistomes.
