I hold a Ph.D. in Biology (2021) from the School of Agronomy, University of Lisbon, with my thesis “How sex led to wine: Genomic and post‑transcriptional differences associated to sex in Vitis vinifera sylvestris”.
My work spans several intersecting fields: bioinformatics; molecular biology; plant genomics; and more broadly, biological sciences, natural and agricultural sciences.
I supervise and co‑supervise undergraduate and master’s theses, and mentor students in projects including comparative genomics, flower development, sex determination in plants, DNA/RNA differences during development, and epigenetic regulators.
