Mauro Micheu
PhD StudentMauro Sebastião Pedro Micheu, is conducting a Ph.D in Biology at the University of the Açores from 2024, affiliated to CE3C, in the research group IBBC - Island Biodiversity, Biogeography & Conservation and is conducting work to evaluate the role of managers of conservation areas in promoting coexistence between Man, flora and Wildlife in the Gorongosa National Park, under the supervision of Rosalina Maria de Almeida Gabriel, affiliated with the Faculty of Sciences Agrarian and Environmental Sciences at the University of the Azores. The study we intend to carry out essentially aims to identify critical points causing conflict between communities in the buffer zone and flora and wildlife, as well as designing mitigation strategies that promote coexistence balance between man, flora and wildlife.
