I obtained a PhD in Biology and Ecology of Global Change, with a specialization in Tropical Biology and Ecology, from the University of Lisbon in 2018. I am currently a researcher in the Behavioural Ecology and Conservation group at CE3C.
My research focuses on avian ecology, particularly migratory behaviour and connectivity, as well as trophic ecology and ecological networks. I use birds as model organisms to address broader ecological processes, for example to study the structure and functioning of food webs in tropical and temperate coastal ecosystems.
More recently, my work has focused on the connectivity of aquatic birds between natural and artificial habitats, as well as the spatial distribution and conservation of seabirds.
