Summary:
Valorization of invasive seaweed Rugulopteryx okamurae components, specifically polyphenols and terpenes, proteins and carbohydrates, aiming at their application as bioactives in pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical preparations, as alternative proteins in food and feed and as platform biochemicals in the production of alternative proteins (single cell proteins, SCP) and biomaterials (bioplastics, e.g., polyhydroxyalkanoates, PHAs).
