This session will be an introduction to the Stockholm Resilience Centre. A brief teaser is: we are an inter- and transdisciplinary research centre in the field of sustainability science, and our vision is a thriving and resilient biosphere that enables well-being for all. The aim is to introduce another centre, and if there is interest, to explore ways of interacting.
I will present our research areas and ways that we engage in sustainability science outside of academia, our education and how we work. I will also present my own main areas of attention: our Master’s programme in Social-ecological Resilience for Sustainable Development – how it came to be and what it is; and my ongoing work in inter- and transdisciplinary methods including ethics of social-ecological system research, reflexivity and trans-disciplinary methods.
